Day 11 Bali to off coast of Borneo
Today we participated in Joan’s funeral through the internet. Thanks to those who organized this as it made us feel as if we were part of the proceedings. Later in the day, we attended a lecture on India by our onboard historian. He concentrated on India from the time of Alexander the Great until the uprising at Amritsar. There will be a part two later in the trip. Our ballroom lesson today was the Paso Doble where the men are supposed to be the bull and the women, the cape. Tonight was formal night with the obligatory photos. Bill looks great in his tuxedo. Our show tonight was a vocalist and mimic from Sydney, Grant Galea. He was so so but did a great impersonation of Kevin Rudd and De Niro. After we do the blog we are going up on deck to watch the movie, Julie and Julia. Tomorrow, the first day of winter in Australia, we will cross the equator. (Barbara) Choir practice continued today. We are preparing a medley of old favourites for a concert later on in the first leg of the trip. We have three red roses in the room tonight from Barbara in honour of Mum. (Bill)
