Day 83 Into the Pacific Ocean towards Hawaii
The days at sea seem to pass so quickly. Today, I went to a tour presentation on Hawaii, and also to a lecture by an historian, Bruce Petty. He is an American but lives in New Zealand now. He spoke on the War in the Pacific, using information gleaned from many old people who actually fought in this war. We learnt some more complicated steps to the Salsa, which makes the steps we have already learnt seem simple at last. Tonight, we were entertained by Jack Walker, who is a Scottish singer and entertainer. He works in Las Vegas. He sang a wide variety of songs from Puccini arias, to Les Miserables and Bridge Over Troubled Waters. We had lunch with Lynn and Wayne. Lynn is becoming a gym junkie. She said she is doing the bikes and the rowers and the tread mill. Do you believe this, Bev? (Barbara) More than 100 people attended the first choir rehearsal today for the next cruise leg. Alan has prepared an interesting array of international songs for us to celebrate all of the countries that we have visited. Some of these are in other languages so it will take a bit of practice. (Bill)
